PHOTO: 19yr old girl swallows cellphone to prevent boyfriend from reading her messages

According to reports, Adriana Andrade, a 19yr old Brazilian girl swallowed her cell phone because she was scared her boyfriend Renato would read her text messages from another man. Her boyfriend demanded to see the phone, she ran out and swallowed the phone as displayed inthe X-ray
 She had to undergo an operation to have it removed..
Couldn't she have just deleted the messages ??? :o
